Models that are Done or "Done for now"

Postby KuriousKook » December 22nd, 2009, 2:29 pm

If you have a model that you consider complete please post it here. If it is "done" but you plan to go back and fix it up some day then this is also the place.

Let see those models!

To get us started, this is a model I'm sure everyone has seen. It is 'done for now', even though it is a anime character so cell shaded could be passed for alright (maybe >.>) This was back when I avoided texturing anything I made or didn't plan enough time for it. So I do plan on going back creating a custom rig instead of a biped and creating a texture/unwrap for the character... someday...

Let me know your :twocents: or better yet post up your done or 'done for now' 3d models.

Please post once for each model that is done or almost done, and give a brief description as well.

If you get your unwrap set up... I believe there is a way to render the procedural textures out to a bitmap, which you could then use as a base to customize the texture more. I'm not sure how to do it though. :)

Not really a "model", more of a scene.

The church will be textured soon...

Definitely done with this character, or -really- "Done for now" due to some skinning problems, but other than that, he's been fun to add into some projects X3

And after that long night, I now just realize I spelt Taichi wrong, lol! X3

Good scene, good texture, good mesh. The envelopes, specifically around the arm, do seem like they need a bit of tweaking though. Which type of enveloping method are you using? Physique, Skin, something else?

Just using the basic Skin modifier, but for his starting pose his arms are all the way down, which makes fixing the envelopes around his arm/torso extremely tough. (Dunno what I was thinking when I did it like that, my later models have better skinning works as they don't have that same problem... I learned from my mistake haha)

Ah, that makes sense. Still, you might be able to make some individual weight adjustments to the vertices since you are using the Skin modifier if/when you come back to it at all. :)
